Faceless Pregnant Mary

The virgin birth of Jesus is the doctrine that Jesus was conceived and born by his mother Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit and without a human father.

Mary was a young woman who was engaged to be married to a man called Joseph. The Gospel of Luke says that the angel Gabriel came to Mary to tell her that she would give birth to a son. The angel told Mary that she should call her son Jesus. The angel also said that Jesus would save people from their sins.

Mary asked the angel how she could be pregnant, since she was a virgin. The angel told her that God had made her pregnant through a miracle.

This Stunning statue is finely hand made out of one piece of Olive Wood, the wood of the Holiest Tree in the Holy Land, made by some christian families in Bethlehem, using the prunes of young olive trees , and the sprouts from the trunks of the old tree. No Tree was damaged or destroyed in the process of harvesting the wood.
