The Holy Family consists of the Child Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and Saint Joseph. Veneration of the Holy Family was formally begun in the 17th century by Saint François de Laval, the first bishop of New France, who founded a Confraternity. The Holy Family is a model for Christian families.
This beautiful statue is finely hand made out of one piece of Olive Wood, the wood of the Holiest Tree in the Holy Land, made by some Christian families in Bethlehem, using the prunes of young olive trees, and the sprouts from the trunks of the old tree. No Tree was damaged or destroyed in the process of harvesting the wood.
This statue makes a unique and great holiday gift and any occasion for your friends and family.
